How do I individually enroll or renew in a dental plan?
What are my payment options for the Master Plan or SmileCard?
We accept all major credit cards (online only), check or bank draft.
Is there an enrollment fee?
Yes. There is a $25 one-time enrollment fee applied to your first year of enrollment. Renewals will not be charged.
When does my plan take into effect?
All individual plans go into effect on the 1st of the following month.
What plans are offered in which states?
Master Plan: Florida only; SmileCard: Florida only.
What is your cancellation policy?
The effective date and termination of coverage is as set forth on the subscriber’s eligibility ID card, which shall be effective for a period of one (1) year. All policy cancellations are required to be submitted in writing within 30 days of expected cancellation date.
How will I receive my ID card?
Your ID cards will be mailed to you within 7-10 business days after enrollment. Please contact your employer’s benefit administrator or Argus Customer Care at (877) 864-0625 to order more cards. Click here to e-mail.
How do I change my address or contact information?
To update your address or contact information, please contact your employer’s benefit administrator or Argus Customer Care at (877) 864-0625. Click here to e-mail.
If my dental plan is through my employer and I no longer work there, what do I do?
If for any reason you leave your place of employment, Argus Dental grants you the option of continuing your coverage with an alternative method of payment. Argus Customer Care at (877) 864-0625. Click here to e-mail.
How do I make a dental appointment?
To make an appointment, simply contact the General Dentist that you have selected. Click here to find a dentist in your area or contact Argus Customer Care at (877) 864-0625. Once you have selected your dentist of choice, call the office and identify yourself as an Argus Plan member. Present your Argus Plan ID card once you arrive at your scheduled appointment.
What If I need to cancel or change my appointment?
If you need to cancel or change your appointment, please notify to your dentist at least 24-28 hours prior to your visit to ensure you will not be charged. Contact your dentist to confirm their cancellation policy.
Can I change my dentist?
Yes. You may change your dentist at any time by calling Argus Customer Care at (877) 864-0625. Click here to e-mail. Requests made prior to the 20th of the month will be effective on the 1st of the following month. * Provided you do not have outstanding financial obligation to your original dentist*
What If I need specialty care?
You have access to specialists in all fields of dentistry at reduced rates through your plan. We recommend that you visit your General Dentist for an appropriate diagnosis prior to visiting a specialist. However, authorized referrals from Argus Dental are not required prior to seeking specialty care.
What If I have a dental emergency?
If you have a dental emergency, please contact your General Dentists or Argus Customer Care at (877) 864-0625. If your emergency occurs after regular business hours, please call 911.
Are services that are not listed on my schedule of co-payments covered under my plan?
Covered dental services not listed on the schedule of co-payments are available at a 25% discount off a participating provider’s normal charge.
