Argus receives prestigious dental and vision plan accreditations by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC)
The Argus Vision Plan has earned its first full accreditation by the AAAHC, and the Argus Dental Plan has received its full reaccreditation. The new and renewed accreditations reinforce Argus Dental & Vision as a distinguished benefits organization dedicated to delivering the highest standards in service excellence.
AAAHC accreditation is reserved for organizations that demonstrate substantial compliance with the AAAHC’s nationally recognized core standards and accreditation policies. The process involved a rigorous on-site audit by professional AAAHC surveyors, provider site visits, interviews with executive leadership staff, and a detailed examination of Argus’ Member Rights, Governance, Administration, Provider Relations, Credentialing, Case Management, Quality Improvement, Risk Management, Clinical Records, Health Education, Dental Services, and Vision Services.
Meena Desai, MD, AAAHC Board Chair stated: “AAAHC accreditation is a significant achievement. Granting accreditation reflects confidence, based on evidence from this recent survey, that you meet AAAHC Standards and will continue to demonstrate the attributes of an accreditable organization.”
Argus Dental & Vision was the first dental plan in the United States to be accredited for quality care by the AAAHC and is now the first vision plan to be accredited by the AAAHC.
