Argus Dental & Vision is the first benefits organization to receive prestigious Dental Plan and Vision Plan accreditations from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. (AAAHC).  The accreditations of the Argus Dental Plans and Argus Vision Plans followed rigorous multi-day on-site audits that involved multiple surveyors reviewing documents, conducting provider office site visits, and interviewing staff and providers in areas such as Member Rights, Governance, Administration, Provider Network, Credentialing, Network Management, Case Management and Care Coordination, Health Education & Wellness Promotion, Clinical Records, Environment of Care and Safety, Quality Management, Risk Management, and Services.

ABOUT AAAHC: The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) is a private, non-profit organization formed in 1979. They are the leader in developing standards to advance and promote patient safety, quality care, and value for ambulatory health care through peer-based accreditation processes, education, and research. A certificate of accreditation is awarded to organizations that are found to be in compliance with AAAHC Standards. AAAHC currently accredits more than 6,000 organizations in a wide variety of ambulatory health care settings including ambulatory surgery centers, community health centers, medical and dental group practices, medical home practices, and managed care organizations, as well as Indian and student health centers, among others. Soc 2 Type 2

Argus Dental & Vision announced today that the company has successfully completed a Service Organization Control 2 (SOC 2) audit, validating that they have established effective controls over the security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy of systems used to process customer information, and the confidentiality or privacy of that information.

ABOUT SOC: Service Organization Control Reports are intended to meet the needs of a broad range of users that need to understand internal control at a service organization as it relates to security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy. These reports are performed using the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Guide:  Reporting on Controls at a Service Organizations Relevant to Security, Availability, Processing Integrity,  Confidentiality, or Privacy are intended for use by stakeholders (e.g., customers, regulators, business partners, suppliers, directors) of the service organization that have a thorough understanding of the service organization and its  internal controls.
